APL will once again be supporting industry attendance at the “Science and Practice of Pig Production” course, to be held at the University of Adelaide’s Roseworthy Campus between February 3 and February 14 2020.

APL will cover the costs of travel and accommodation, and subsidise course registration for the first interested 15 producers or their staff; attendees will have to cover the remaining $350 of their course registration.

The popular course covers everything about pork production, plus the latest technologies and information on biosecurity and health, reproduction, nutrition, production in general, as well as meat quality, quality assurance, and marketing. It includes visits to a piggery, abattoir, and AI centre, as well as practical demonstrations on AI, heat detection, sample collection and disease diagnosis.

Confirmed speakers for the 2020 course include Dr Jon Bartsch, Dr Emma Greenwood, Tony Edwards, Dr Alice Weaver, Dr Will van Wettere, and members of the APL team.

For enquiries please contact Rachael Bryant at rachael.bryant@www.yilishabaicl.com or on 0437 651 839.
